Abbotsford Christian School is now accepting applications for an ELEMENTARY PHYSICAL AND HEALTH EDUCATION TEACHER. This position is 0.80-1.00 FTE, salaried, and commences on September 8, 2026.

At Abbotsford Christian School, the elementary PE teacher recognizes the importance of physical and health education as an integral part of whole-child development and faith formation. The PE teacher is responsible for planning and implementing the physical and health education program with a distinctively Christian vision for kindergarten to grade 4 students. This role involves teaching various physical activities, promoting students' physical fitness, motor skills development, planning and organizing extracurricular and athletic events such as track and field, cross country, etc. The PE teacher creates a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters physical health and well-being.

Preferred Qualifications include:

• BA degree in education
• BC Teaching Certificate
• Clear understanding of Christian education
• Experience in physical education, kinesiology, exercise science, or related experience
• Experience working with elementary school students in a physical education or coaching role
• An understanding of the BC Modernized Curriculum
• Extracurricular experience is an asset

The salary range for this position is $57,000 - $102,000 and is dependent on an applicant’s qualifications and experiences.
